- Data privacy specialists: Specialists in data privacy frequently handle routine compliance responsibilities, such as managing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), which are needed to comply with GDPR.
- Data privacy managers: may endeavor to map organizational data flows, improve data privacy education and awareness across business units and employees of an organization, and monitor and flag potential privacy issues and appropriate solutions.
- Data privacy analysts: for the more technically minded, develop solutions and automated controls that support the company’s privacy infrastructure.
Too many businesses today concentrate on implementing controls at only one data lifecycle stage.
