1.How did you get into the field of Data Privacy?

During my practice on IP laws in a law firm, I was given a project related to advisory and training on Data Privacy. This was the first time I was exposed to an engagement relating to Data Privacy and that’s where my interest in the field began.

2.How did the DPO course by Tsaaro Academy help you?

To implement privacy regulations, one must have a clear understanding of the applicable Regulations, how various provisions are interpreted, and industry-specific best practices. This is where the DPO courses were of utmost use. The course was anchored by trainers who have splendid command over the subject and there is no better way to learn a subject than from someone who has practiced it for years.

Tsaaro has got a big name for itself and most of the people involved in privacy work in organizations like the Big 4 are aware of Tsaaro. In my interview with a Big4 I realized that when they are hiring for the entry-level, they want to check if you have a decent level of knowledge, which the course teaches us and once you mention that you have a course from Tsaaro, it leaves a pretty good impression.

4.Will you recommend the courses to anyone else who might be shifting from a Law Firm to a career in Data Privacy with a Big4?

I would definitely recommend it for them to understand the requirement of the clients properly and in a comprehensive manner. It will help them understand the different kinds of assessments one has to do like risk assessment, privacy impact assessment, etc. There are a lot of requirements like that which the people in law firms might not be aware of. The course of DPO is very helpful for anyone starting out a career in privacy from the scratch.
