Difference between the PECB courses offered at Tsaaro

Introduction

The objective of this blog is to discuss the various PECB (Professional Evaluation and Certification Board) training courses offered at Tsaaro Academy, and how each of these courses are different from one another, moreover, how these training courses/certifications are essential especially for the professionals who are in the data protection and privacy domain. But before explaining further, it is quite important to address what PECB is after all.

What is PECB?

PECB or Professional Evaluation and Certification is one of the most trusted and recognised accreditation bodies which offers various training and certification courses based on different international standards to professionals as well as to the enterprise system. PECB offers training and certification courses on-

PECB courses by Tsaaro Academy-

Tsaaro Academy is one of the official resellers of the PECB’s training courses. At this moment, Tsaaro offers four levels of training & certification on Information Security. The 4 (four) levels/tiers of information security courses are as follows-

What is ISO/IEC 27701?

They are developed and published by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization).

But after all, what is the ISO/IEC 27701 all about?

The ISO/IEC 27701 was published in August 2019, with an aim to provide organisations, as well as businesses, who are seeking to comply with different data protection and privacy laws, to give such businesses and organisations an international approach towards privacy as a component of information security.

ISO/IEC 27701, is more or less a framework for data protection, and helps organisations and businesses in developing policies and procedures in order to ensure complete compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other international data protection and privacy laws. It will also give you a better understanding about how to maintain, implement and improve the Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) as it is based on ISO/IEC 27701. 1) ISO 27701 Introduction

This certification course will help the potential candidate(s) in understanding the basics about Information Security Management System (ISMS). The candidate will also learn how to set up and establish an ISMS for your organisation or business.

2. ISO 27701 Foundation

This certification and training course will help the potential candidate(s) in understanding how to manage an ISMS. The training includes understanding the different modules of ISMS, ISMS policy, procedures, and internal audits. Moreover, through this course, you will get an understanding about the requirements of a Privacy Information management system (PIMS).

Our experts at Tsaaro, will provide a two-day interactive virtual training programme to the students/candidates who have enrolled themselves in this course. By the end of this training, you will be able to implement the principles of ISO 27701 and the requirements to fulfil and ensure an effective PIMS. You will soon be able to give guidance to data controllers and processors with respect to their processing activities.

There are no prerequisites for this certification and training course.

Target audience-

Candidates/Professionals who have worked or have an understanding and/or are seeking knowledge about Information Security Management System (ISMS);
Individuals who are planning to start a career in information security management; Data controllers and processors.

After the completion of the training, the candidate can sit for the exam and apply for the credential- PECB Certificate holder in ISO/IEC 27701 Foundation. The duration of the exam is one hour, and retakes of the exam are permitted.

3. ISO 27701 Lead Auditor

This certification and training course will help potential candidates and students in obtaining and gaining skills with respect to auditing in compliance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1.

They will also learn the practical aspect and will be able to acquire knowledge on the protection of privacy during processing of personal data/identifiable information along with that they will master the techniques involved in auditing and will be able to manage audit programs, audit team, additionally they will be equipped with required skills and communicate with the customers and resolve potential conflicts.

Our experts at Tsaaro, will provide a five-days interactive virtual training programme to the students/candidates who have enrolled themselves to this course. After completing the training course, candidates can sit for the exam and apply for the credential- ‘PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Auditor’. This certification is recognised globally and the same will show your capabilities to conduct audits in organisations. The duration of the exam is three hours, and retake exams are permitted.

Prerequisite for this certification is that a candidate must have knowledge about the implementation of ISMS based on ISO 27701 and ISO 27702.

4. ISO 27701 Lead Implementer

This certification will help the potential candidates with offering them a comprehensive understanding about the best practices of privacy information management and they will also get to learn how to process and manage data while complying with all the data protection laws globally.
Prerequisites for this certification course is that the candidate must possess basic understanding about information security along with ISMS and the related principles.

After the completion of the course, students can sit for the exam and apply for the certification of ‘PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer’. This certification is recognised globally and the same will show your capabilities to implement ISO/IEC 27701 requirements in any organisation. The duration of the exam is three hours, and retake exams are permitted.

4. Professionals who are advisors in the process of protection of personal data.
